Square Lemon doesn't jury vendor products for the markets. Every vendor who applies has an equal chance to be accepted for the market.
As this market is intended for artists, makers, and crafters, we will not be accepting any direct sales, MLMs, or resellers.
MASK MANDATES: Masks are no longer mandatory, but are still a very good idea.
CHECKING IN: Vendors will check in at the community centre entrance to receive their table number. Spaces will be assigned to best accommodate flow and variety of products to provide the best experience for market attendees. If you have specific requirements please include this in your application and we will make every effort to accommodate you.
GLEBE COMMUNITY CENTRE: The event is held on the second floor, up a set of stairs. There is an accessible lift for those vendors who need it. Volunteers are also available to help bring your items in. Please ask a Lemon if you do not see any available volunteers.
WIFI is NOT available on site for use during the event. Bathrooms are available for vendors and attendees. Square Lemon will be providing free coffee and water for vendors. This is on a self-serve basis.
VOLUNTEERS: We have an amazing team of volunteers! If you need help bringing your items into the hall, or back out of the hall, please ask a volunteer! They are available throughout the market to help, so please do ask them. Also, they are volunteers - we ask that you treat them with respect and kindness.
ACCESSIBILITY: Glebe Community Center is accessible including disabled parking spots, an elevator (to be used mainly for people with mobility restrictions) and accessible washrooms. If you require any assistance during the event feel free to ask a volunteer and we will try our best to accommodate your needs.
SET UP & TEAR DOWN: We will be open at 9:20AM to allow for vendor set up. Please do not arrive for setup before 9:20am. Vendors must be fully set up by 10:30AM, when the doors open to customers. Our volunteers will available to help bring in your market stuff, so please ask! No equipment will be available for moving your stuff so please bring your own dollies, etc. Vendors must have their area packed away and tidied by 4:00PM. We ask that you do not pack up before the end of the fair or until an announcement is made by organizers.
DISPLAYS: Vendors are to ensure that no display equipment (racks, stands, etc.) extends beyond their allocated area. Your display must not interfere with other makers/crafts persons or obstruct the aisles. No tacks, pins, or staples in the walls or tables. Vendors are responsible for their wares and are expected to have someone tending to their tables at all time. No sharing of tables unless you have booked the space in both names and have received prior approval.
TABLE CAPACITY: A maximum of 2 chairs will be allocated to each vendor table.
PARKING: After you have unloaded your items move away from the parking spaces in front of the community centre. There is a lot of street parking available around the community centre.
When the weather permits, ie. when there is no snow, you can use the parking lot we have reserved for the market. When it is available, the address and photos of this will be sent by email with the table allocation and market information in the week before the market.
CRAFT FAIR ADMISSION: There is no admission fee for this event. Donations are welcome.
PHOTOS (optional but highly recommended): Please provide three to five good quality photos of your product to info@squarelemon.ca (be sure to identify your business). If you are accepted, we will use these photos to advertise your product on our social media platforms.
ADVERTISING: We want you to be successful at the fair and will be actively promoting the event. Some of the best advertising is on social media when as many people as possible are sharing the event and posts from our Facebook page. The more it’s talked about, the more they are seen! So share as much as possible, invite your friends to the event, and encourage them to share it also. Vendors will also be provided with a printable poster to distribute and share among their networks.

PAYMENT: Payment is non-refundable and is required immediately at the time of sign up using Simpli. Vendors who are interested in participating must buy a ticket for their table. Square Lemon is not liable if weather or other conditions prevent a vendor from attending. You may transfer your table fee provided you can find another vendor is available to fill in, and Square Lemon gives approval of that vendor. This is a transaction between you and the other vendor, and Square Lemon is not involved in any financial arrangement you come to with the replacement vendor.
VENDOR AGREEMENT: YOUR AGREEMENT TO THE ABOVE CONDITIONS IS IMPLIED ONCE PAYMENT IS MADE.
Thank you for your interest in this Square Lemon Maker and Craft Fair! Our hope is to give local artists, makers, and creatives a way to showcase and sell their wares on an ongoing basis. We look forward to featuring some unique local artisans at this and future markets.
