Beginner's Knitting Kit

Knitting is an ancient craft, which is simply making yarn into garments and objects using knitting needles. For many years knitting declined in popularity and has been experiencing a resurgence recently.

Along with the decline in knitting, there has been a flood of 'preloved' knitting needles cast aside. And Square Lemon hates to see a perfectly useful tool discarded in this way, so we have rescued some cute needles (and stitch holders) and will pick a pair to pop into this kit!

Kit Contents:

• A pair of preloved needles;
• A cake of yarn;
• A preloved stitch holder
  (to hold unfinished items)
• A Square Lemon laser-cut needle gauge;
  (to measure the size, or circumference of your needles as and when you rescue more!);
• 4 Square Lemon laser-cut stitch markers, in the shape of lemons, engraved with common knitting abbreviations;
• Basic instructions on how to cast on and knit your first few rows of knitting.

This kit contains everything you need to cast-on and knit a tension square*.
